We also finished the skirt. 2x6 treated timber to reinforce the structure. It prevents a wavey profile, making it more rigid and making the boat move as one. In the bottom right of this photo you can see the pre-cut scarf joint ready to have the second piece added. Very difficult to do when hanging off the side of a boat.
Skirting complete. Fenders screwed on (high up so they don't fill with water)
It may not look like a lot of progress, but the feel of the boat when standing on it has been vastly improved. A stressful and successful day.
